In the wild, most tortoises eat only wild grasses, while as pets they are often fed vegetables and fruit. Feed that does not resemble the natural diet in composition and properties, which can cause urinary tract problems and shell deformities. Hikari has succeeded in creating a food based on mulberry leaf that is very close to the natural grasses.

Hikari Mulberifi Delite is a scientifically formulated food enriched with Hikari-Germ probiotic bacteria for terrestrial turtles and herbivorous lizards. The unique formula with large amounts of vegetables and vegetable matter makes an ideal substitute for wild grass. The pellet offers excellent water absorption and retains it well. This, combined with a unique spongy texture that greatly improves acceptance, ensures that tortoises get enough moisture.

Hikari Turtle Sticks is a mix of three coloured sticks, each with a specific purpose.

• The yellow sticks ensure healthy growth. Proteins, minerals and multi-vitamins keep turtles in top condition. 
• The green stick contains a large amount of Calcium and lactic acid which ensures stronger shell construction.
• The red stick contains chitosan, extracted from crustaceans, which activates metabolism and ensures elastic skin.

Easily digestible, preventing potential water quality and odour problems. Absorbs water quickly and softens quickly while retaining its original shape. This allows the turtle to fully absorb the food.
